Monica Lam, Ph.D.
Founder and Chief Scientist
Monica Lam is a professor of computer science at Stanford University, joining the faculty in 1988. Her research passion is in making computing and programming easier. She co-authored the latest edition of the Dragon book, and is one of the top-50 most cited computer science researchers in the world. She helped found Tensilica, a leading configurable processor core company, on her last sabbatical in 1998. She holds a doctorate in computer science from Carnegie Mellon University and a bachelor's in computer science from the University of British Columbia.
Vinod Khosla

Bill Raduchel, Ph.D.
Most recently, Bill Raduchel was the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Ruckus Network bringing a broad range of business experience in the computing, Internet and media industries. Before joining Ruckus Network, Raduchel was Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of AOL Time Warner, Inc. Prior to AOL, Raduchel served as Chief Strategy Officer and an executive committee member for Sun Microsystems, Inc.
Sean Dalton
Managing General Partner, Highland Capital Partners
Sean is a Managing General Partner specializing in communications infrastructure and semiconductors. Prior to joining Highland, Sean was a Venture Associate at Fidelity Capital focusing on investments in communications and electronic commerce. Before Fidelity, Sean worked as a Product Manager - Internet Services for GTE where he developed remote access and other network services for ISPs and large business customers. While at GTE, Sean led the nation's first ADSL trial for Internet access.
Corey Mulloy
General Partner, Highland Capital Partners
Corey opened and manages Highland Capital's Menlo Park office. In doing so, he sources and pursues investment opportunities across all of Highland's targeted sectors in the Western US and works across the Highland investment team to evaluate those opportunities. Corey joined Highland in 1997. Corey has worked in corporate development at ONI Systems, an optical networking equipment vendor, which went public in 2000 and was subsequently acquired by CIENA (Nasdaq: CIEN). He also worked at Robertson Stephens & Company in the investment banking group and at The Whitman Group, a start-up company.
Dale Fuller
President & CEO
Dale Fuller is a leading technology executive with extensive experience in starting up and growing both technology and consumer businesses. He is responsible for leading MokaFives's overall strategy and guiding day-to-day operations. He also serves on the boards of Krugle, Phoenix Technologies, AVG, and Quest Aircraft Company. Most recently, he served as interim CEO of McAfee and CEO of Borland, both of which experienced huge shareholder value and revenue gains during his tenure. Dale has a track record of successfully starting companies. He has lead companies through crisis situations and directed turnarounds that resulted in substantial improvements in operational performance and increased shareholder value. In an earlier part of his career, he founded one of the leading community sites on the Internet, WhoWhere, later acquired by Lycos. As a start-up company CEO, Dale led the expansion of numerous domain sites, including Angelfire.com and Mailcity. He is a an active personal investor in approximately 60 different staged start-ups based in Silicon Valley, China, and India. He holds an honorary doctorate from St. Petersburg State University.
Frank Artale
VP of Business Development, Xen Source, Inc.
Artale was a founder and CEO of Consera Software, a management software company, which was acquired by HP in 2004. Before founding Consera, Artale was vice president of the Windows Solutions Group for VERITAS Software, where he oversaw overall product strategy of the Windows targeted solutions. Prior to this position, he was a general manager in the Windows 2000 group at Microsoft Corporation, one of the many and varied product management and sales positions he held during his nine-year career with Microsoft.
Peter Ashkin
As a member of the MokaFive board of advisors, Mr. Ashkin brings over 20 years of industry experience. He served most recently as President of the Technology Group and Business Ventures for CanWest Mediaworks, where he led technical operations and key strategic initiatives. Prior to CanWest, Mr. Ashkin was Executive Vice President, Digital Media Services for America Online, Inc., where he was responsible for developing AOL's standards based content distribution platform. Previously, Mr. Ashkin was President of Product Strategy for AOL and guided the technical implementation of consumer based products and services. Mr. Ashkin was Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at Gateway Computer, Inc., where he led engineering and supply base management. Mr. Ashkin also held management positions at Toshiba and Apple Computer.
Dan Boneh, Ph.D.
Associate Professor, Stanford University
Dr. Boneh heads the applied crypto group at the Computer Science department at Stanford University. Dr. Boneh's research focuses on applications of cryptography to computer security. His research topics include e-mail security, security for handheld devices, digital copyright protection, and cryptanalysis. He is the author of over 80 technical publications in the field, a co-founder of Ingrian Networks and Voltage Security, and a recipient of the 2005 RSA Conference Award for Mathematics. He received his Ph.D. from Princeton in 1996.
Urs Hölzle, Ph.D.
Senior Vice President, Operations & Google Fellow, Google, Inc.
Urs Hölzle was named Google Fellow after serving as the company's first Vice President of Engineering. In that role he led development of the company's operational infrastructure. Urs was a co-founder of Animorphic Systems, which developed compilers for Smalltalk and Java, and an associate professor of computer science at University of California, Santa Barbara. He received a master's degree in computer science from ETH Zurich in 1988 and was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship that same year. He earned a Ph.D. from Stanford in 1994.
J. Duane Northcutt, Ph.D.
Chief Technology Officer, Silicon Image, Inc.
Dr. Northcutt is the Chief Technical Officer of Silicon Image. He is responsible for defining the company's technical strategy, and leads its Systems Architecture Group. He was Distinguished Engineer at Sun Microsystems, the Chief Technologist of the Internet Desktop and Servers Group, and the inventor of the Sun Ray product. He received a President's Award in 1995 and the first Chairman's Award for Technical Innovation in 2000. He received his Ph.D. in computer and electrical engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.
Martin Rinard, Ph.D.
Professor, Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, MIT.
As member of the MokaFive board of advisors, Dr. Martin Rinard brings more than 20 years of academic and hands-on experience in the high technology industry. He is currently a Professor in the MIT Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and a member of the MIT Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Stanford University for research in the design and implementation of parallel and distributed programming languages. Dr. Rinard participated in two startup companies, including Ikan Systems, where he was a member of a team developing a computerized publishing system and Polygen Corporation, where he was a member of a team developing a computer-aided drug design system. His current interests include compilers, software engineering, programming languages, program analysis, parallel and distributed computing, real-time and embedded systems, computer systems, and bioinformatics. He has published over 90 papers on a variety of topics in computer science. He was selected as a Sloan Foundation Research Fellow in 1995 and received a National Science Foundation Early Career Development Award in 1997.
