Project Skynet – Preview Now Available
Next Generation Client Container for the Mobile Enterprise
Project SkyNet is a native, lightweight client container designed to enable secure usage of SaaS and on-premises web applications and document repositories on managed and unmanaged devices – all without requiring VPN access or virtualization technology.
Cloud-based enterprise services such as Salesforce.com, Office 365, and Box, as well as company-hosted services such as Outlook Web Access (OWA) and SharePoint, can be easily and safely accessed from any computer or mobile device through the SkyNet container.
SkyNet also enables secure document workflows with an integrated offline-capable viewer and editor to view, annotate, and edit documents in on- and off-premises repositories such as SharePoint, network file shares, Box, and Google Drive.
Over the course of the Tech Preview, the SkyNet container will include:
- Centrally-managed data protection and data leakage controls including encryption, remote wipe, copy/paste, drag-and-drop, among others
- Container-level secure enterprise connectivity that routes container traffic through the enterprise (or a cloud-based intermediary) for visibility and policy control
- Integrated offline-capable viewer and editor to view, annotate, and edit documents in on- and off-premises repositories
- Single sign-on (SSO) to enable seamless access to web apps
- Support for multi-factor authentication
- Host assessment controls to assess device integrity before granting access to the container
- Support for Windows, Mac OS X, iOS, and Android
