On April 8th, Microsoft will officially end support for Windows XP. Despite Microsoft’s efforts to get users migrated and the higher security risks associated with the platform, as of December 2013, Windows XP still held an overall market share of 11.6% - higher than Windows 8 and Windows Vista, higher even than all versions of Mac OS X combined.
