Multiple ISO images
Hi, I would like to create a Linux LivePC. The distribution resides on five(5) .iso image files stored in my WinXP c:\ drive.
How can I tell LivePC Engine to access the 5 images. I tried to create 5 IDE drives but it would not let me. Two (2) was the most it would allow me to create before the ADD button greyed itself out.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Adding additional ISO paths
Hi, I finally got a chance to test a livePC installation of Linux CentOS consisting of 6 ISO images, on a Windows XP SP2 host using the latest Moka5, and unfortunately it did not work as you suggested above.
After two images, corresponding to my two physical drives, the installation failed because Moka5 asked for image number three, and did not recognize the other images configured as suggested above through the SCSI config. document.
The only way I could continue was by saving the virtual machine state, close Moka5, manually change the config document to show images number three and four on the two CDROM drives, and restart. Then I had to do the same for image 5 (image 6 was not required, but I suspect that Moka5 can only handle a maximum of 5 drives in any case).
Did I do something wrong or is this a bug in Moka5?
Many thanks
Victor
Did you enable the SCSI
Did you enable the SCSI Controller and change the SCSI devices to CD-ROM (iso)? I'll see if I can get the CentOS images and give it a try.
I'm wondering if the SCSI Controller is not being detected by CentOS.
Thanks for being persistent about getting that going.
Also with today's release, you can now browse to an CD-ROM (iso) file :). You can download from it from Latest moka5 Engine . We'll be enabling the autoupdate soon.
***** Update July 11 10:56 AM *****
The CentOS 5 does not have support for the buslogic SCSI controller. This is why SCSI CD-ROMs are not detected. Using the lsi SCSI controller works since CentOS has support for the driver. This
I verified this with CentOS 5 ISO CD images
Buslogic SCSI controller not supported in CentOS 5

Did you enable SCSI
Thanks Kevin, yes I did enable SCSI and the ISO images and I also tried both BusLogic and LSI with no success. However since you succeded I must have done something wrong, although very little has to be done. It is now not a problem however since I have managed to create the CentOS LivePC by manually changing the config document. I'll try it again sometime after I install the new Moka5 version.

Multiple ISO images
Hi, I am beginning to think that perhaps my problems are due to my selection of Operating System version in the config document.
Under Linux there are many options which can potentially refer to the same distribution. For instance between "Other Linux" or "Other 2.6.x Linux kernel" or between "Red Hat Linux" and "Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4" and "Other 2.6.x kernel".
What is the significance of the selected option when creating a new Linux LivePC? Are the options interchengeable? Can the selected option affect the outcome and how?
Can the selection be changed AFTER a LivePC has been created?
Many thanks.
Victor
Hi Victor,
Hi Victor,
The OS type selection changes some optimization options, but it should have no effect on the functionality of the LivePC. For example, if you accidentally specify "Other Linux" instead of "Windows XP" when using a Windows LivePC, it will run quite slowly but it will still work. You can edit the OS type at any time. You will need to power off your LivePC; you cannot edit it while it is running or suspended.

Adding additional ISO paths
To add additional ISOs that exceed the number of IDE device do the following:
Select "Add a SCSI drive"
change the Type to cd-rom-image and enter the path of the ISO
Repeat for each ISO you want to add.
If you need to change the SCSI Controller type, you can choose BusLogic or LSILogic at the bottom half of the screen.
