MVware not installed correctly

Have installed live PC on USB Flash drive which appears to have occurred correctly however I get an error message " You will be unable to start Live PC an error occurred installing VMplayer"

have attempted to reinstall VM Player from the flashdrive, however the install shield attempts to load the prog to my hard drive.

How should I proceed please ?

Starting Engine from the USB

Starting Engine from the USB will install VMware Player to the host disk (unless another VMware product already exists).

You can install VMware Player manually on the host and the LivePC Engine will just use the version on the host.

Starting Engine from USB

I still have the same problem Kevin. VM Player setup insists on trying to install to my external hard drive. There appears to be no way of changing the target drive in the installation process.

Cheers..Ed

From the original post, the

From the original post, the observation was VMWare Player was being installed to the local fixed disk which is correct. VMWare Player will not be installed onto the USB storage device.

I believe in your case, what you're observing is VMWare is placed on the USB hard disk. Please correct me if i'm wrong about this.

The LivePC Engine installation does not have the interface to set the Target drive for VMWare Player. We've received feedback that too many clicks/options in the installation was also a bother. If you can elaborate on requiring this option, this will help determine what is needed in the installer.

For the VMware Player being installed on your USB Hard Disk, did you install LivePC Engine with the Desktop option or USB Removable storage option? I'll be contacting you for additional information.
