LivePC crash on corsair flash voyager gt (8GB)

Hi,
I got the new flash voyager gt (8GB) and I installed LivePC on it. Everything work well, until I plugged in another flash drive (Sandisk micro-cruzer), then the LivePC crashed.

The falsh drive, where the LivePC was installed, was no longger accessible from my desktop.

Any ideas?

P.S. my desktop OS is XP PRO

P.S. my desktop OS is XP PRO SP2

We've seen different erratic

We've seen different erratic behaviors even from the same manufacturer with USB devices.

I've pretty sure you would have tried it but just incase:
* Remove USB via Window's Safely Remove Hardware option and plug back in the USB.
* Check Device Manager to see if the USB device shows under Disk drives.
* If it shows up check the Disk management to see if the partition shows for the Voyager. The Voyager should show as a Removable.
* Try re-formatting the partition

Still not working

I tried to format the drive (I did regular windows FAT format and an NTFS format with a utility from corsair web site)

On both cases the result was the same

Hi Boaz, If reformatting

Hi Boaz,

If reformatting does not help, it sounds like your flash drive may be defective. We've tried a lot of flash drives here and noticed that sometimes there are bad batches that fail after a small amount of use (<1 month).
