Use this LivePC to work on office documents and browse the web on the go. This is an image of the Ubuntu linux distribution configured to work in a virtualized environment. The directory /home/me/host-visible allows you to exchange files with the host operating system. Installed software includes Evolution, OpenOffice, Firefox, and Instant Messenger. You can easily customize this LivePC to use any of the software available to Ubuntu using the integrated package manager.
Fairly useless without the root password
The setup looks like it was done standard, with username "me" and the password is *supposed* to be "me" as well, but it appears that is not the case. If you intend to use just what is on it, it is okay. If you thought to add to it, forget it, download something else.
...unless the root password gets published!... please Mr/s T.J. Purtell, please post the root password
Thanks!
~Pat
Appears that sudoing is also broken?
(Can't sudo su, claims /etc/sudoers has errors in it.)
Same here
I could go reset it with a recovery disc, but that won't help others. Could the publisher of this post the root password?
If not, one of us users will have to reset it and upload a new LivePC
Thanks,
John
root password
I have not downloaded this LivePC, but rather created mine own from the ubuntu distro iso. I noticed that you need to go into the terminal and set the root password by typing sudo passwd
hope that helps.
Nick.
Just need to know the password!
Over all performances are stable.
But I may need to know the password once I have it into screen saver......

Agreed
This would be a great LivePC, if only we knew root...
