Windows XP Pro, User Names, and moka5 tools

I've created a Windows XP Pro LivePC from scratch. I have set up two users, and it seems everything is fine so far. I have to create two more users. The idea is that all of us will work using the same image, but your own settings would be reachable in any of the computers. For that, all you have to do is to log on as yourself.

-- Why would I use "This LivePC supports user names" (in the Edit LivePC Configuration page)? What difference does it make?

-- I do not want automatic login. It seems that moka5 tools set automatic login as a default. I do not want to rename a default user... etc. If I install moka5 tools, can I avoid it?

Thanks again,

Peter

RE: Windows XP Pro, User Names, and moka5 tools

hi Peter,
The LivePC username feature lets the subscriber use a personalized username within the LivePC, instead of the default username configured by the publisher.
If you’d like to disable the feature for the livepc (as installed by the moka5 guest tools):
Within the LivePC, using the registry editor remove the following data entry -
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\moka5\boot\50wm5lpcuser
Cheers,
-Guy.

I still do not get it...

Guy:
I still do not understand it. What is the difference between a normal Windows username and the moka5 username? How would you use moka5's? How would it help?

Thank you,

Peter
