Applications obe can run

Hello guys:

I have been reading the whole page and LivePC seems to be an extremely interesting solution for me, but I have some questions...

From an old laptop, I could "salvage" a 12GB drive. I got an USB enclosure and this is where I intend to install my LivePC.

--> Even though I do not think I need a bootable LivePC, would it be functional to work both ways, that is, if I install it as bootable, can I use it normally without booting from it?

--> It it will a Windows based Live PC. Can I install normal Windows applications on it (Word, Outlook, etc.) or just portable apps?

--> Do you know if a software that needs a dongle (hardware key) will work in this environment (I do have the dongle and can connect it to computer I'll be using).

--> What kind of licence is the software distributed with? Is it a freeware? GNU?

Thank you for your help,

Peter

Hi Peter, Thanks for trying

Hi Peter,

Thanks for trying out our software. LivePC works just like any physical PC. The main different is LivePC is a virtual desktop environment running on top of another desktop.

To answer your questions:
-> I am not sure what you mean by bootable LivePC. Can you clarify?

-> Yes, you can install any applications on the Windows LivePC. Not just portable apps. Word, Outlook and other Office applications definitely works on LivePC.

-> It should work. Is the dongle a USB device? As long as the dongle does not need to be shared between the LivePC and the desktop computer, it should be OK.

-> We have a community edition of our software and it is currently free. We don't distribute our source code. We will have a professional edition of the software that we will charge money for it. Also we will charge companies for technical support.

Hope this helps.
