Resolution and internet problems

Dear 'people who know',

I use XP Home and Livepc Kubuntu. Everything is working fine except these two things:

When I close down the pc, next time on startup I need to reset my router to have internet access again (both in XP and Liveengine).

The screen in Kubuntu is slightly to big. But when I change the resolution in Kubuntu and restart, the screen is huge. No matter what resolution I pick, it always turns out huge.

Please help me on my way, because I'm enthousiastic about the whole virtual thing and I would like to get it right.

Thank you in advance,
Andre Sluik

For the router issue, does this happen even after you reboot the Host machine?
Try getting the network info using ipconfig /all before using LivePC Engine and after LivePC Engine to help determine how the network stack is being affected.

The resolution changes can be made persistent by enabling the Let me make changes option.

The persistent changes would be available based on the publisher of the LivePC. Can you provide LivePC Name for this "ubuntu" LivePC and we can verify if the publisher has implemented any of the persistent settings in the LivePC.

Thanks for the reply.

The internetproblem is solved.

I have Ubuntu and Kubuntu now. I have set Ubuntu with the right resolution. No problem there. So, I'll stick to Ubuntu. Maybe it's a KDE thing?

The name of the Kubuntu 6.10 is: kubuntuthekdedesktoponubuntu by Moka5.

Thanks,
Andre
