one thing that might stop me from using livepcs

I just discovered one issues that might stop me from using livepcs:

you need to be an admin on the machine you try to run it from.

I don't know if this is stated somewhere so I might just have not read it, but will this always be a necessity? this will stop everyone, wantign to use his livepc at work, scholl or somewhere else from using it...
does it really need to isntall stuff? can't the vmplayer run from usb disk?

any feedback on this please?
