I'll Try Again
Gerald,
I ran that first attempt with a corporate build disk of Windows XP. It has a bunch of scripts on it to do a hands-off install, including an embedded corporate license key. I'm now running down a generic copy of XP to give it another try.
Thanks for your help. I'll get back to you here later.

Working now - thanks!
I ran your xpfromcd script using a new, fresh copy oF XP and it worked fine, mostly. The LivePC video was basic VGA, 640x480 by 16 colors. I downloaded the VMWare tools and ran the setup, then was able to change video to 1024x748x256 colors. I shut down the Moka5 installation entirely and when I started it again, I got a new version of the engine. After starting the LivePC again, I now have 32-bit color!
Thanks!

Move to USB?
I want to have a full XP install on my 8Gb USB drive. Seems to me there are two options
-1- Copy the XP files from the Desktop install to the USB folder. The C: drive on the Desktop install is 20GB, so maybe I could reconfigure the LivePC to be smaller, perhaps 2-3 GB?
-2- Extract xpfromcd script on the USB drive and build a fresh copy there.
Does either 1 or 2 work?

If the intent is to keep the
If the intent is to keep the LivePC local (not published), then option 1 will work. Local LivePC will not utilize the cache which would allow more space. This is important for USB devices due to capacity of USB devices.
xpfromcd will work with LivePC Engine installed on USB today. Just start the Engine from USB and then start the xpfromcd tool.
