Ubuntu + LAMP

Let's say I intend to immediately add the LAMP stack and additional Gnome packages to Ubuntu 6.10. How do I figure out if it is necessary or wise to prepare a new Live PC.
If you are going to build on
If you are going to build on top of Ubuntu 6.10, it's better to install your additional packages on top of this Ubuntu LivePC rather than make your own from scratch. Then you can publish your Ubuntu+LAMP LivePC and it will be much smaller and more efficient, as you will only need to store and transfer the differences. You also don't have to worry about installing and setting up the LivePC correctly, as it has already been done for you.
If you want to use some OS or distribution for which there is no existing LivePC, you'll have to make a new one. But in general, you should try to build on other people's work as much as possible.
