Help with XP: Sharing folders
Hi,
I did a live setup on a portable HD. It worked well, and the OS installed appropiately and I am able to use it.
Now, I want to share some files between the host/other LivePCs and the PC I created. The PC I created will always remain offline in the host machine.
I have been able to do so with another USB stick. But would like to be able to:
a) access the files on the same USB HD as where the LivePC is installed. Is this possible? When clicking on the usb icon, it tries to desconect it first on the host PC and therefore is not allowed as the LivePC is running
b) Through the shared folders feature. I activated it and find the folder on the host machine. But where do I find the folder on the Virtual WindowsXP LivePC? Is there anything I need to do there in order to access it?
Thanks for your help!
Did you install the moka5
Did you install the moka5 guest tools?
moka5tools shares the My Documents folder between the host operating system and the LivePC, allowing you to access your My Documents folder even when you are outside the LivePC.
Inside the LivePC, download the moka5tools.msi from moka5tools-1.0.msi
After installing moka5tools, please use regedit to edit the following registry key. Add one line for each user inside the LivePC, for whom My Documents access outside the LivePC is desired.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\moka5\GINA\RedirectUsers
