Songbird is a desktop Web player, a digital jukebox and Web browser mash-up. Like Winamp, it supports extensions and skins/ feathers. Like Firefox, it is built from Mozilla, cross-platform and open source. More info can be found here.
For just songbird??
The download and installation seems rather large if it is just for Songbird on Ubuntu... wouldn't it be better to create a smaller Appliance?!??? since it is easier (and smaller) to just download the zip file of www.songbirdnest.com.
