xpfromcd: Could not start LivePC xpfromcd
I have been testing xpfromcd tool and run into this problem:
.do_appmgr_rpc: args: op start_app id xpfromcd
do_appmgr_rpc: doing appmgr_rpc (args : op = start_app & id = xpfromcd & )
do_appmgr_rpc: resp is 'TextRpc=HASH(0x1ce2668)'
do_appmgr_rpc: args: op get_app_state id xpfromcd
do_appmgr_rpc: doing appmgr_rpc (args : op = get_app_state & id = xpfromcd & )
do_appmgr_rpc: resp is 'TextRpc=HASH(0x1cd6448)'
ERROR start: state of xpfromcd should be running, but appmgr says starting

An error has occurred. Please contact moka5 support forum by
visiting http://www.moka5.com/forum/2 and also including below
error message:
Could not start LivePC xpfromcd
================================================================================
F:\xpfromcd\bin>del tempargs.txt
F:\xpfromcd\bin>pause
Press any key to continue . . .
This error states that the LivePC couldn't start, but in fact it started just fine, but the setup fail. I assume that is because the script is stopped.
My m5engine is running fine with other LivePCs. I'm using:
LivePC Engine: v1.0.7263.0(beta)
Windows LivePC Wizard: v1.0.6872.0(beta)
I have local installation of VMware Player: v1.0.3 build-34682
When I installed the new VMware Player the m5engine warn me that this version of VMware Player could conflict with m5, but so far didn't have any problems.
Reading the messages I think there is bug in xpfromcd tool.
After the script checks is the LivePC running and received status that the LivePC is 'starting' should wait more and check it again until the status changes to something different (like running or other error) or it times out.
Thanks,
SAL-e
ps.
Is possible to update FireFox to version 2.0 or add option not to install the old FireFox?
thank you for reporting this problem
Hi Trochevs,
> LivePC is 'starting' should wait more and check it again until the status changes to something different
I agree with you, this is a bug in our script. Thank you for reporting that.

Thanks for suggesting this we will consider this as an enhancement in the next version. Meanwhile, if you wish to change it so that it uses firefox 2.0, maybe you can follow the steps below. I haven't tried it but hopefully I think it will work:
