can't load vmware

I've installed on VMware on a USB-HDD. When I rebooted my computer, I get the "can't load vmware. conflicts with another version of vmware"

Any ideas?

The registry key for

The registry key for HKLM\SOFTWARE\VMware, Inc. is left in a partially installed state. With the LivePC Engine running on USB, this key is suppose to get dynamically installed and removed with Starting and Exiting the LivePC Engine.

Did you have any trouble prior to this error that may have caused this issue?

Can you provide the m5engine.log to [email protected] so we may understand what could have caused this issue?

To correct this issue, the simplest solution is to Repair VMware Player.

We've included VMware Player and it is locate in the following path of the USB device:
moka5\Program Files\VMWare\VMware Player Installer

When you run the installer, select the Repair option. Once it is repaired, the host will also have a VMware Player version and the LivePC Engine (running from USB) will then use the locally installed Player version. Of course you can uninstall the local VMware Player version and let LivePC Engine do the rest with each launch.

If the installer does not help and you know there is no locally installed VMware Programs, run the following:
This will remove all VMware software keys and VMware drivers from the registry.

moka5\Program Files\moka5\Engine\cfg\hklm_sw_del.reg

Hope this helps get you going in the meantime.
