Creating a LivePC

Is it possible to create a LivePC by taking a "snap shot" of a normal computer or use another virtual image like VMWare?

I have a desktop that I would like to create a virtual image of so after I erase the HD I can still access the applications as normal. But I can't seem to find a way to do this. It would seem to me that converting a regular installation to a virtual image would be beneficial to anyone.

Hi,

Try the steps outlined in "Convert your physical machine into a VMware Virtual Machine." That should do what you want.
