WebDever

This would require a really small version of XP-pro. The point is to quickly get a nice Web Development engine up and running for the Computer Science department here.
The only problem I forsee is the small XP or Windows environment.
Granted this could be done in a linux environment and I was looking at LAMP but, the desktop is huge and I can seem to modify it.
Appliances:
Context Editor
Vertrigo Serve
Core FTP
FireFox with WebDev tools plugin
This is all I have so far. I'm probably going to create it myself, but I won't be able to share it here unless someone knows of a Windows environment that is free and won't conflict with licensing issues.
some tidbits...
Check out this blog post which reviews some methods for making a TinyXP.

I have a basic stripped down linux that I've been meaning to publish to the public site. It'd be a great start for a linux version; I built the fearless browser off of it. Contact me at tj {at} moka5.com and I can help you out with this.
