Entry Point Not Found
Submitted by josh snyder on November 7, 2006 - 7:04am.
I started my livepc engine yesterday and the program asked me to update so I did. After that, when I start my vm, i receive the error:
vmplayer.exe - Entry Point Not Found
The procedure entry point xmlReadFile could not be located in the dynamic link library libxml2.dll
I tried restarting the pc, reinstalling vmplayer, reinstalling moka5 engine; no success.
Moka version: 1.0.7183
Vmplayer version: 1.0.2-29634
Can you send us the log(s)
Can you send us the log(s) to [email protected] and include #2908 in the title.
%USERPROFILE%\Application Data\moka5\Engine\m5engine.log
%TEMP%\{……}\{…}\moka5log.log
%TEMP%\{……}\{…}\usb-control.log
Also libxml2.dll should exist in the following path:
e.g. F:\Program Files\moka5\Engine\bin
This libxml2.dll should also exist in some temp folder during installation:
If you click run and enter %TEMP%, it should bring you to the temp folder. In the temp folder, there should be some folder with {some random characters and numbers} as a name. Go into that folder\INST and the libxml2.dll should exist. copy it to your bin folder.
Also of interest is to also provide the moka5log.log and usb-control.log from last Engine installation as well to understand what happened to this dll.
Let us know if this helps.

One of the Panda Software products is causing this issue
Detail: libxml2.dll is installed into system32 and the Panda Software specific location.
We have noticed during testing that the copy in system32 causes this compatibility issue. Removing the dll in system32 allows the LivePC Engine to work properly.
We have contacted Panda Software to understand if both copies of the dll are necessary for their application.
