Mouse not working in DSL live pc with Moka5

I am not sure if this is a moka5 issue, a DSL issue or a self inflicted injury.
I ran DSL with Moka5 last week and everything worked well.
Today, however, the mouse remains frozen in the centre of the screen. I can do nothing in X.
I am using a usb mouse.
The mouse works with other live pcs but with DSL now it is just frozen.
I am running it on a pentium4 3.00mgz with 1gig memory.
All my other usb devices are regognized.
The only other thing I noticed when running DSL is that the windows mouse cursor remains active, while the DSL mouse cursor is frozen in the center of the screen. When I click with the mouse
the mouse is frozen and remains so until I do an cntl alt.
Were you changing the X
Were you changing the X settings in DSL? When you do that, you need to choose the 3 button PS/2 mouse in DSL even your host machine has the USB mouse. If you choose USB mouse in the DSL, it will not work.
Here is a way to recover:
- after DSL boots up, enter ctrl-alt-insert to exit X windows
- enter xsetup.sh at the prompt to reconfigure X.
- When it asks if you have an USB mouse, answer no.
- Answer yes for IMPS/2 mouse.
- finish the rest of the configuration.
- Enter exit at the prompt to get back into X.
I think that should fix your problem.
