3D Problems

Ok, so I've installed the latest moka5 Engine.
On the Player, Ive installed a Windows XP SP2 System.
At first, I installed the VMWaretools, rebooted, after this I installed the moka5 tools and rebooted again.

When I now go to dxdiag, I see that the d3d8thk.dll has a yellow mark.
And on the display tab, there is also the VMWare Display Adapter installed.

But, the test of the d3d funktions is greyed out.
The log beyond says, that my driver got no D3D functionality.

I've already tried to reinstall the moka5 tools some times, and tried to install the "moka5tools-9800", but there is no change.

btw, the host and client Windows is installed in German, could this cause problems?

Sorry you are having

Sorry you are having troubles. Could you run dxdiag on both the guest and host, click "Save All Information" and send the files to [email protected]? That would help us in tracking down the problem.

When the 3D is working, in the "Display" tag in dxdiag, Direct3D should show "Enabled", DirectX 7 test should fail with "Test failed at step 8 (Creating 3D Device)", and DirectX 8 test should succeed. Closing dxdiag and clicking "Cancel" on DirectX 8 test then "OK" on DirectX 9 test should also succeed. (If you run both DX8 and DX9 tests without restarting dxdiag, you may get a "GetDeviceCaps" error.)

Here is what dxdiag in the LivePC should look like:

Interesting

Thanks for the fast reply.
The Screenshot of the Display tab is interesting.
Because you've got no VMware SVGA II Driver installed.

Could this be the problem?

Edit: now I think I know why it isnt working.
Why didnt come this earlier through my mind.
I've Directx 10 on the Hostsystem...

Hi, Are you running Vista on

Hi,

Are you running Vista on the host? Currently, Moka5 Engine only supports DirectX 3D acceleration if the host is XP.

Yeah I'm running Vista on

Yeah I'm running Vista on the Hostsystem.
Is it planned that the 3D Features will be available on Vista?

I was looking at this to run

I was looking at this to run a VM of XP on my vista64 system, looks like I'll have to try the vmware way editing the config file ive been seeing around.
