Mono is a cross platform implementation of Microsoft's .NET platform. This LivePC provides a development environment for .NET applications and web services. It includes application samples as well as web samples running on a local webserver. The Linux operating system this is built from is openSUSE 10.2.
This VM was derived from the one available on the mono-project website, but it has been enhanced to support a persistent user profile and provide the latest vmware guest tools.

Hello there is NO PASSWORD listed for the root account of this live PC! I went to the 'mono' homepage as the author mentioned that this was based on the livepc available at the mono project home. Sure enough they posted user account data

So I tried that hoping that dear god it would be the same but NOPE!
