New version of Baremetal

I have two issues with the latest baremetal edition.

1: I can't seem to delete the fearless browser. I remove it and when i reboot, its back again. I checked the sysroot/config directory to see if anything was in there specifying it couldn't be removed and I can't see anything.

2: the old version of baremetal would let me mount NTFS volumes, like external USB hard drives, this vesion doesn't recognize NTFS so I can't mount my external hard drive and import my VMs.

The rest of it seems pretty awesome, with the limited testing i've done.

Thanks for any help

That should only happen if you don't have any other LivePCs subscribed. If you delete Fearless and then subscribe to something else, Fearless shouldn't come back when you reboot.

I don't know when or why this changed -- I'll look into it.

re: New version of Baremetal

Thanks for the feedback and sorry for the trouble!

The NTFS driver in bare metal didn't make it to the latest version. We're open to adding it back in.

NTFS driver is kind of important

When you are importing VMs you may need to import a file thats bigger than 2GB. Fat32 limits you to a 2GB file, NTFS doesn't. When i made my VMs i just used one large 10GB file, without NTFS support I can't import them.

Please let us know when NTFS is added

Can you let us know when a new version that includes an NTFS driver will be available for download?

Thanks.

Re: Please let us know when NTFS is added

Ken,

We'll definitely let you know when we've fixed this regression.

Thank you for using the moka5 Engine for Bare Metal.

I'd also be interested in NTFS support for Bare Metal.
