Complete Installation Issue
Hi everyone, I just installed Moka 5 on the full version on a portable 160GB drive. It works great, untill now I have installed Fearless Browser and it works ok as far as I am not under a firewall. My questions are:
1.- After installation was completed I can see under Moka5 environment that my HD looks fine I mean it has 4GB used and 156GB free. However, if I Check my HD properties under Windows it says that used space is 480MB out of 520MB available. How am I supposed to add additional LivePC´s under this panoram? is it normal this situation?
2.- If I make my windows xp livepc I will be able to install it additional features like Office or Palm software, how about printers?
3.- I read I could install both Windows and Bare edition in the same drive how ever if I try to Run Windows version on my Office laptop it says I need for once Administrative privileges wich of course I dont have. is there a solution for this issue?
I hope you can help me, I am new to this but I am very exited on it. And hope to upload in near future my oun LivePC
David
Hi David,
Hi David,
I'm glad to hear LivePC is working for you. To respond to your questions:
1.- Did you install Bare Metal version to your USB drive? If it is the Bare Metal, it partitions your drive so that you will only see a small partition from Windows. The rest of the data is stored in other partitions.
2.- If you make a Windows XP LivePC, you can moreorless install anything you can install on a normal Windows XP. We haven't tested all software in existence yet but you shouldn't run into any issues with Office, Palm software, or USB or network printers.
3.- We are still working on a solution where you can run both Windows and Bare Metal from the same USB drive. For the Windows version, you need to have admin privileges once to install the moka5 service, but after that you can run from a guest account. For the Bare Metal version you can boot from the USB drive in which case you don't need to worry about admin access.
Let me know if you have any more questions!
