Visual index to the Moka5 Engine
The Moka5 Engine main window provides access to a number of different option windows and provides information on the status of your LivePCs. Hovering over items on the Moka5 Engine window will open a tool tip with more information. Below are the windows of the Moka5 Engine and links to the section of the manual that covers the features in more detail.

Title bar
Clicking on '–' minimizes the Moka5 Engine. Clicking on 'X' closes the Moka5 Engine.
LivePC bar
- The icon for the LivePC. Double clicking will launch the LivePC. Clicking and dragging will allow you to modify the position of the LivePC in the list of LivePCs.
- The name of the LivePC is at the top, in this case 'Fearless Browser'. Double-clicking on the name of the LivePC opens a window that provides details about the LivePC provided by its creator.
- Below the LivePC name is a text description of its status, in this case 'downloading'.
- The gray/blue bar below the LivePC title displays the download (buffering or caching) status of the LivePC. Clicking on the bar will switch to actively downloading that LivePC. The bar is not visible when the LivePC is fully downloaded. Placing the mouse over the bar without clicking will pop up a window displaying the percentage of the LivePC downloaded and the full size of the LivePC.
- The play button icon is used to start the LivePC. It displays different states. Here it is a green circle with three overlapping triangles inside and shows that the LivePC is fully cached and ready to start.
- The stop button icon is used to stop the LivePC or the current process.
- The 'Revert' icon is used to restart a suspended LivePC in a fresh state or undo changes in a LivePC where 'Keep my changes' has been set and a change has been made. Use it to clean out and remove system changes to your LivePC.
- The package icon provides update state information.
- The gear icon with downward pointing triangle opens the options window for the LivePC.
Shared features bar
- 'Backup status' is only visible on Moka5 Engines running on removable devices with backup to host set. Displays the current backup status (details).
- Clicking on '?' opens online documentation when you are connected to the internet.
- '+ Add New LivePC' opens a window for selecting or creating a new LivePC.
- 'Settings' opens and displays information on functionality of your Moka5 Engine and running your LivePCs.

Scroll bars and LivePC display order
If you install more LivePCs than can be displayed in the window on your screen, scroll arrows will appear at the top and bottom of the Moka5 Engine window:
LivePCs can be reordered by clicking on their icon and dragging them to a new position. LivePCs at the top of the List will be kept fully downloaded (buffered or cached) as space permits.
LivePC options
By clicking on a LivePCs' wrench icon with downward pointing chevrons a window will open with options for that individual LivePC.
- 'Use without Internet': Ensures that the full LivePC is ready for use even when you are not connected to the internet.
- 'Fullscreen': The LivePC opens as your full desktop screen. Switch to your regular desktop by pressing 'Ctrl' + 'Alt'. Return to the LivePC by pressing 'Ctrl' + 'G'.
- 'Browse Documents Folder': Opens the folder for sharing documents between your LivePC and your host computer. Not available in all LivePCs.
- 'Delete': Deletes the LivePC and all your documents saved with the LivePC.
- 'Help': Opens links to the online manual.
- 'Discuss on web': Opens a forum web page for the LivePC on the Community Portal where you can post comments.
- 'Email to friend': Opens your email application to send a link to the LivePC.
- 'Keep my changes': This allows you to customize your version of the LivePC. When this is selected, you will not receive new versions of the LivePC when they are made available.
- 'Publish': This creates a LivePC package which you can upload to Moka5.com's server or your own. You can then share the LivePC.
- 'Configure': Use this button to change the configurations of the virtual machine, including changing the disk size, memory size, network MAC address.
Moka5 Engine settings
By clicking on the 'Settings' button in the mok5 Engine you will open the following options:
- 'Manage Disk Usage': Displays disk usage and allows for manual cache adjustment.
- 'Automatically start on LivePC on Moka5 Engine launch': Select a LivePC to launch automatically when the Moka5 Engine is started.
- 'Require a password to start Moka5 Engine': Set a password to protect launching the Moka5 Engine. With a password set the startup will not proceed without entering the password.
- 'Proxy type': Select the method you would like to use to access the network. 'Use Default Settings' will use the host connection.
- '?': Opens a browser link to the help section of the Moka5 website.
- 'Configure Backup': This is only available when running the Moka5 Engine from a removable device (not supported in the Mac version). This allows you to set backup options for your LivePCs and the Engine.
- 'Apply Changes': Applies any setting changes, leaving the window open for any further changes then click 'Cancel' or the 'X' in the top right corner to close the window.
- 'Cancel': Closes the window. Any changes already applied will be kept.
