The virtualization space is definitely shaping up with many good virtualization platforms that are cheap or free. All this competition is great for us, as our LivePC technology is platform-agnostic. My experience with VirtualBox was that the performance was not as good (yet) as VMware when running Windows guests. But we will definitely keep our eye on it.
