See USB causes error on local host installations (preferences.ini). Kevin Mon, 26 Feb 2007 07:00:14 -0800 USB\CFG directory missing http://www.moka5.com/node/569#comment-756 This exact same thing happened to me... Out of interest, did you happen to install to a USB drive the first time round? Sequence of events for me...I installed the engine to a USB drive to take LivePC for a 'test drive'. I liked it... so then went and installed to my desktop... (USB no longer plugged in) and allowed 4G for cache... then ran the install. Got the message that the \USB\CFG\.ini file couldn't be found. Browsed to the folder and the \CGF directory didn't exist at all. Unzipped as per advice above and all is fine (thx for the tip). Sun, 25 Feb 2007 02:42:28 -0800 Thanks for giving us http://www.moka5.com/node/569#comment-622 Thanks for giving us feedback and the workaround. We would like to investigate this issue some more since this is not the intended behavior. Here a sample of a desktop installation: C:\Program Files\moka5>tree Folder PATH listing Volume serial number is 0000C24E B884:6E96 C:. ——Engine ————bin ——————images ——cache ——cfg ——usb Can you send the installation logs to [email protected] and provide an output of the tree? The logs should be in the temp folder. If you click run and enter %TEMP%, it should bring you to the temp folder. In the temp folder, there should be some folder with {some random characters and numbers} as a name. Go into that folder and look for moka5log.log and usb-control.log. Thanks Kevin Thu, 25 Jan 2007 22:56:24 -0800 Desktop Install 1.0.7695 fails http://www.moka5.com/node/569 A fresh install of Moka 1.0.7695 to the desktop fails because the ...\usb\cfg directory is not created. The bypass is to unzip cfg_vmware.zip into the cfg directory. Thu, 25 Jan 2007 17:23:05 -0800
