Glad it worked for you. Auto-update to beta5 was enabled over the weekend, so everyone should have been updated by now.

Hi there
I have the same problem. I have just installed LivePC Engine and no LivePCs will start. Yes I did Windows Update Yesterday.

Dennis - did you install the Windows updates that Microsoft published yesterday?
This morning we discovered a conflict between our software and one of yesterdays Windows updates. We do not have a workaround or a fix yet. As we learn more, we will post updates to the sticky post at the top of the forum:

Hi Udo,
1, We released a new version of the LivePC Engine today (yes the product name was changed from 'LivePC Player' to 'LivePC Engine'), you may want to try that and perhaps you can start LivePC properly with that;
2, Our current beta release of the LivePC Engine may not work properly if VMWare Workstation or VMWare Server is installed. You may have to uninstall these products if you cannot start LivePCs...
Thanks,

Hi Udo,
Thank you for trying out the LivePC Player, and sorry about the inconvenience, we need some information from you to help us diagnose what the problem might be.
1, Please follow the steps below and send us the log file:
a, start the LivePC Player
b, try to start a LivePC - as you already mentioned, you will see 'running' then back to 'ready' in the UI
c, using Windows Explorer, go to the location below, please substitute <username> with your actual user name
C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\moka5\LivePCPlayer
d, you'll see a file named 'sys.log', please make a copy of it (You won't be able to access it directly while the LivePC Player is running)
e, please send the copy of this file to us at [email protected]
2, Could you please tell us a bit more about your machine configuration?
machine model:
RAM:
hard drive space:
OS:
(eg, Windows XP Home, Version 2002, Service Pack 2, etc, you can find it by right-clicking on my computer, then click on properties)
List of applications installed: if you don't mind, perhaps you could take a screenshot while you have the start menu open, or a text file with the list of directory names on C:\Program Files
Thanks,
-Gerald

http://www.moka5.com/node/46
Hello!
I've installed the VMWare player long ago (Version 1.0.1). Today I've installed the LivePC player and downloaded 2 LivePCs (Damn small and Nostalgie). But when I double click on the LivePC icon the "ready" changes to "running" for a few seconds and then back to "ready"... but nothing else happens.
What's wrong?
Thanks for help in advance!
Greetings
