I think we are getting closer but now after I start up Windows XP and enter the login information the system hangs for a long time and then I get this message. Failed to connect to host files Faaled to connect to host files: WNetAddConnection2W: The network path was not found. when you press OK, then login will continue but My Documents may be unavailable. I clicked OK and sure enough the system came up but when I double-click My Documents I get this: My Documents The network folder, \\192.168.199.2\FK1571ES66D$\JasonStitzel\My Documents, that contains My Documents is not available. Try again later, or contact your system administrator for further assistance. ******************************************* Update: I changed my network settings on my virtual machine to NAT from bridged and restarted my machine. The LIVE PC local documents is now working as expected. Thanks for your help with this. To enable the LivePC Local documents, you need to make sure a couple things are true: * Configure -> Enable network mounted user files is checked * Inside the LivePC, download the moka5tools.msi from http://downloads.moka5.com/1.0/moka5tools-1.0.msi. Double click on the downloaded file to install moka5tools. After installing moka5tools, please use regedit to edit the following registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\moka5\GINA\RedirectUsers Add one line for each user inside the LivePC for whom My Docuements access outside the LivePC is desired. Please let me know if you have any problems. -Costa Mon, 06 Nov 2006 10:54:57 -0800 Trouble reaching LivePC local documents http://www.moka5.com/node/341 I imported a windows xp install from VMware Workstation 5.5. I have not been able to access my local documents from the host. When I open the My Documents folder on the guest I see the standard My Pictures folder. However, when I click on te LivePC local documents in the Host I don't see the same folder. I created a text file in one to make sure and it doesn't appear in the other. I rebotted the guest several times in my attempts. File sharing is enabled in the guest os but I'm not sure how to get this to work. Any help would be appreciated. Fri, 03 Nov 2006 15:19:44 -0800
