We haven't been able to reproduce the problem, but the next Bare Metal release will have updated drivers, which may fix the problem. We don't have a concrete date for it yet, so keep an eye on our blog and/or the forums. -John Wed, 01 Nov 2006 09:06:31 -0800 I can't even get that far. http://www.moka5.com/node/293#comment-293 I can't even get that far. It freezes immediately after the splash screen loads. Pressing F2 has no effect. Just to make sure that it wasn't the CD, I booted it up on my old Althon system and it works fine. Can you try pressing F2 during boot and telling us the last message that is printed? That will help us diagnose where in the bootup process it is hanging. Thanks, John Wed, 25 Oct 2006 11:27:22 -0700 Baremetal boot problem http://www.moka5.com/node/293 I'm trying to install the bare metal version (build 0.9.5-4051) onto my computer, but it freezes up at the Moka5 splash screen. Any idea what I could do to troubleshoot? My computer has: Pentium4 2.8GHz 1GB of RAM Nvidia 6600GT video card MSI 6788 (Neo2-V) motherboard with an Intel 865PE chipset Seagate 250GB SATA disk connected to the controller on the MB Realtek integrated 10/100 NIC The hardware runs Windows just fine, so I don't think that this is a hardware problem. Perhaps there is something that Moka doesn't support? Thanks! Sat, 21 Oct 2006 19:45:51 -0700
