You can create a Windows XP LivePC by stripping it down with nlite or some other tool. We also created XPfromCD which also supports an nLite image. The xpfromcd will automatically separating system and user State data. Manually separating the system and user state data. As you can see, we're still trying to reorganize the data and make it available. Kevin Fri, 21 Sep 2007 09:23:51 -0700 Nevermind! I found http://www.moka5.com/node/1413#comment-1229 Nevermind! Thu, 20 Sep 2007 15:18:30 -0700 Seperating system and user data http://www.moka5.com/node/1413 I saw the "naughty" PC demo at vmworld where you demonstrated how a user could change the background of a workstation, then execute a corrupted document that infected the machine. after a reboot, all the naughtiness was gone, yet the desktop remained changed. I've looked through the support docs and couldn't find a walk through on how to set this up. I've made a default XP LivePC , but I do not know how to split out the user data and the system data. Can someone point me at a doc, or explain how this is done? Thanks! Thu, 20 Sep 2007 09:47:58 -0700
