1) how does the performance degrade from using the livepc engines? have you thought about developing a standard set of benchmarks to see the degradation, and if so can you publish them? 2) when is your directx stuff coming out? 3) this stuff is pretty sweet, I think I'm going to use it to build a VPN network, will publish the LivePC later. --- buy dvd

I elected not to include JAVA because it is rather large and I wanted to keep this LivePC lightweight. Virtual Gentoo 2007.0 has all the software in Fearless Browser and a package management system. In that LivePC the command to install java would be USE=nsplugin sudo emerge jre

Wonderful idea to have such a browsing system. But what i miss is a JAVA VM or at least a simple system (packet manager) to install it ourselves. Ho can i get JAVA up and running as a linux rookie? Thanks in advance!

I removed Acrobat because it bloats up the package quite a bit. If you want Acrobat, I'd recommend the Virtual Gentoo 2007.0 LivePC. It is almost identical to the Fearless Browser with a few changes:

Desktop Background
Splash Screen
Virtual Gentoo has a full package management system
Virtual Gentoo includes a full suite of development tools
Virtual Gentoo includes a Acrobat Reader

Acrobat missing

I've looked all over and cannot find acrobat reader, nor anyway to install it. Appfinder displays an icon for it, but cannot run it. Is there any way to install it? There doesn't seem to be any package management system installed.

Mozilla Plugins

Fearless allows you to put your own mozilla plugins ontop the rejuvenated image. Just install them in the browser and they will stick around.

Great job on Fearless Browser! The web is such a much nicer place with Adblock plus (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1865) Any chance you can integrate it into Fearless?

dvorak keyboard layout

Start the LivePC Engine
Click the wrench to the right of the Fearless logo
Make sure there is a check next to the option "Keep Changes" (Click it if necessary)
Start the Fearless Browser
Close the Firefox window that opens
Right click the desktop background and launch a terminal window from the menu
Copy the text below. (It should be all one line)
sudo sed -i 's/\(XkbLayout[^\"]*\"[^\"]*\"\)[^\"]*/\1dvorak/' /etc/X11/xorg.conf
Paste this in the terminal window you opened
From the Start menu at the bottom left corner click Quit
Choose restart, you should be all set.

Dvorak Keyboard Layout??

Anyone know a way to change to the Dvorak layout in this?? It's not an option in the flag in the bottom-right. I can't type in anything but Dvorak... :(
