]> http://www.moka5.com/node/1257 Comments for "How Can I Get Changes to grub.conf to Persist Between Reboots/Pwr Downs?" en http://www.moka5.com/node/1257#comment-1174 Kevin, Some additional info: - I've modified grub.conf in /sysroot/boot/vmr-grub and, to make the process easier in the future, I've made a copy of the modifed file as grub.conf_ubuntu_incl - I restart the system & am able to get into my Ubuntu install - I restart the system again & select moka5 - When I restart the system again from moka5, I only get a single boot option -- moka5 For some reason, unless I made the changes during that particular session, moka5 resets the grub.conf file to the orginal version that it is pulling from somewhere. My question is where is that "somewhere" so that I can modify the real source file OR how do I go about making that change if it is not as straightforward as modifying a file? Since I am able to get into Ubuntu without an external boot source at this point, the importance of finding a way around this has gone down a good bit, so if finding an answer to this isn't a simple matter, please give it a lower priority.
