My question is where is that "somewhere" so that I can modify the real source file OR how do I go about making that change if it is not as straightforward as modifying a file? Since I am able to get into Ubuntu without an external boot source at this point, the importance of finding a way around this has gone down a good bit, so if finding an answer to this isn't a simple matter, please give it a lower priority. I'll update this once I get the info. Sorry for the inconvenience. Kevin Wed, 22 Aug 2007 15:37:42 -0700 How Can I Get Changes to grub.conf to Persist Between Reboots/Pwr Downs? http://www.moka5.com/node/1257 I have a laptop that I had installed Ubuntu 7.0.4 on. I decided to install Bare Metal on the same machine using the dual boot option. When the install was done, restarting only gave me one choice--moka5 LivePC Player. :-( Tue, 21 Aug 2007 15:03:15 -0700
