Sorry, the 3D acceleration only works on moka5, not on regular VMware. I don't know why networking is not working on your EVGA 680i. We have one of those motherboards here and it works fine. Besides, we use exactly the same version of VMware. Could it be that you have the networking mode set differently? The default in moka5 is NAT, whereas in VMware the default is Bridged. You can try changing it in the toolbar at the top of the VMplayer window. Are you running the Windows version or the Bare Metal version? The Windows version will likely work better in your case; the hardware support for Bare Metal is not as good. If you have a working VMware virtual machine, you can import it into moka5 and use it from there. (You may have to convert the vmdk disk format if you are using WS6.0 or snapshot volumes.)
