You can always install moka5 LivePC Engine on a removable USB drive or an iPod. That way you can take it wherever you go and you won't leave anything on the computer's hard drive. USB drives are getting so cheap nowadays, you can pick up a 4GB one for less than $40. The cache is for bits you have downloaded. For example, when you download a public LivePC like Fearless Browser, it gets stored in the cache. Any changes you make to a LivePC are stored in a virtual disk. For example, your settings, web history, any files you have downloaded, etc. are stored in a .cdsk file. If you have a LivePC that you put 2GB of data into, that 2GB of data will be in the virtual disk but not the cache. Hope that makes sense. -John Sun, 08 Jul 2007 20:59:44 -0700 Can I redirect the cache and other folders to a hosting site? http://www.moka5.com/node/1097 First of all, I love, love, LOVE LivePC. Insanely innovative! I've been testing out your service for about 3 weeks now and can't seem to grasp something. I notice that the "virtual disk file" and other files are cached (?) or stored on my computers hard drive. I can find these folders in two different areas on my computer. So, essentially, if I have a live pc that has 2gb of info it, it's stored on my computer a 4gb. I hope that makes sense. Sun, 08 Jul 2007 19:15:36 -0700
