Four New Managed Service Providers to Offer MokaFive’s Virtual Desktop Solution
MSPs Lower Operating Expenses, Simplify Infrastructure Requirements and Gain Dramatic Scalability Boost by Offering Desktop-as-a-Service with MokaFive Suite Service Provider Edition
REDWOOD CITY, Calif.—June 23, 2011—MokaFive™the virtual desktop management company, today announced that four additional managed service providers (MSPs) have joined the rapidly expanding MokaFive Partner Network, recently accredited by the MSPAlliance.
The MokaFive Partner Network provides MSPs with access to the MokaFive Suite Service Provider Edition, which offers a full, multi-tenant platform that enables MSPs to offer desktop management from the cloud, simplifying infrastructure with minimal up-front investment and lowering operating expenses for desktop support.
“MokaFive enables us to offer a long-term solution which addresses several issues that currently strain educational budgets," said Sean Dion, director and founder of TKOEDucation. “The MokaFive approach to centralized management of desktops provides significant cost savings in terms of IT resources, software updates, desktop maintenance and policy regulation for an entire district’s PC environment. It fits very well with our business model of providing schools with the lowest total cost of ownership versus other suppliers.”
MokaFive’s layered approach to virtual desktop management provides MSPs with standardized image control. This allows users to customize the desktop with personalized applications and data as needed on Windows and on Mac. It enables the mobile workforce to be productive on any device – online or offline – while ensuring corporate data is protected by the strongest integrated security of any desktop virtualization solution in the sector.
“MokaFive enables us to deploy and update thousands of user machines at once from a central control panel, maintain policy-based control and scale effortlessly to meet the needs of our customers,” said John Odden of Coto Partners. “In addition, a massive reduction of server requirements in the data center and offline support for mobile users are clear cut advantages in comparison to traditional VDI solutions.”
The latest MSPs to adopt MokaFive Suite Service Provider Edition include:
- Coto Partners – A consulting firm that brings a practical approach to business and IT. From business and systems architecture, to operations and continuity, to standards development and best practices, Coto Partners prides itself as the best choice for delivering results that clients trust.

- TKOEDeducation – A low-cost computing solution for K-12 schools. The company provides comprehensive PC management solutions to ease district wide IT management by working directly with schools to create customized, affordable and sustainable hardware solutions.
“With MokaFive Suite Service Provider Edition, MSPs gain the benefit of offering virtual desktops as a managed service without having to make a significant capital investment, which sets our model apart from today’s VDI offerings,” said Dale Fuller, CEO of MokaFive. “The growth of our MSP program is a testament to the strength of our unique virtual desktop offering.”
