VDI Rants and Ra-…. Rants Part 3
Hope everyone has had a productive and drama-free week! There never seems to be a shortage of people ranting about VDI in some way or another. Why do we think this is important? Because it underscores one of IT’s key failings – ignoring end-user experience for the sake of manageability and security. If IT won’t pay attention to end-user complaints by delivering a smooth and seamless working environment, they will vent…to whomever might be willing to listen. Employees don’t need to know what virtualization infrastructure their company is running- nor do they care. The only thing that matters to them is a reasonably flexible working environment to enable their own productivity, and that’s what we at Moka5 deliver…a seamless, rich and native working environment that WON’T piss off your employees.
@Norgsy Agree. Really wish I had the gear to test with; have to have the sysadm shut down the whole VDI for this & don’t way to waste time.

Can’t login to the office PC. Great. Just great. Roaming profile won’t load. Fucking VDI sessions fucked it up. — Seidj (@crazyseidj) July 16, 2013

VDI is for penny-pinching IT departments who don’t care about user experience.
